Masjid Al-Salaam Presents: Holding on in a Time of Confusion and Doubt with guest speaker Sheik Youssef Soussi Sheik Youssef Soussi is born of a Tunisian father and an American mother. He speaks fluent Arabic, English and French. After High school, he started to take religion more seriously, which led him to study various Islamic sciences locally with the renowned Sh. Walid Al-Menessey. His desire for more took him to Egypt where he finished the memorization of the Quran. He holds a bachelor's degree in Islamic studies along with various certificates & ijazaas. He currently is a rotating khateeb & lectures across the country to both Muslims & non-Muslims.  Join us in a Community Dinner on July 19 at 7:30 pm. Our guest speaker will present his lecture after Maghreb Prayer, inshallah. This event is open to all.

We will be meeting at IHOP Clearwater . This one near US 19 and Curlew . We are planning to go after pray Fajr Insha'Allah at Masjid. We encourage you to come and bring your children. This is a good way for teens to come together for Suhoor and do something different during Ramadan ! Please reply (via text or e-mail ) if you will attend and how many people in your group. This is to make sure the restaurant has enough staff available . Each family is responsible for their own food bill. Salamu Alykom Wa Rahmatul'Allah , In response to the horrible tragedy at Masjid Al-Noor in New Zealand, Masjid Al-Salaam has been receiving non-stop condolences in the form of phone call messages and actual visitors stopping by with flowers and cards. We are truly humbled by all this outpouring love and support from our non-Muslim neighbors, different faith communities, and local leaders. Different faith leaders will be coming next Jumuah to personally offer their condolences and support . Also, on Friday, March 29th at 5:30 pm, the interfaith community will be coming to our Masjid to show their solidarity and support. Short presentations from different faith leaders will be given at 6:00 pm . Dinner will be provided afterwards to our guests. We are expecting a very large number of people attending as well as the local media. Our Masjid needs your help. *First, please make sure to attend this coming Friday and the following. *Second, spread the flier far and wide. Invite your friends (Muslims and non-Muslims alike), co-workers, and neighbors (Flier will be e-mailed very soon) *Third, dinner is provided, however we need your help with some items . Green salad, yogurt salad and dessert still needs to be supplied (please reply to specify what you will be providing) * Fourth, our Masjid should always stay clean, but it's important that it stays even more so this way on that day. Please help us keep the place clean and organised at all times. Children are not allowed to eat or play inside. * We also need volunteers (14+ in age) to help with welcoming guests, serving dinner, monitoring children and keeping the place clean and organised.
